Welcome

Partners Assuring a Safer Staffordshire (PASS) is a registered charity that was formed to provide funding for positive community action to reduce crime and the fear of crime.

What type of projects do PASS contribute to?

In order to qualify for funding your project must meet one of the charity's objectives. So if you have a project that falls within one of the following criteria - then PASS wants to hear from you.

Does your project:

  • encourage greater public participation to prevent and solve crime?
  • provide assistance in measures designed to reduce the level and fear of crime within Staffordshire
  • provide educational information and practical assistance on crime prevention?

The trustees of Partners Assuring a Safer Staffordshire (PASS) announce each year a round of grants to improve community safety and reduce crime. Groups and organisations from across Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent may apply for a grant from £20 up to £2,000 to support their initiative. Some funding towards the total project cost must also be raised by the group.

Raising funds for communities

PASS, one of Stoke FC’s three nominated charities this season, took up the invitation to hold a match day turnstile collection at the Stoke v Tottenham Hotspur match. PASS volunteers and young people turned out for the turnstile collection and thanks to the generosity of the Stoke supporters raised nearly £400 to support community projects.

The charity provides small grants to support community projects aimed at crime reduction. The emphasis for PASS has been on supporting activities for young people and keeping them out of trouble. One beneficiary of funds The Right Stuff Club runs boxing and training sessions for young people in return for them helping with community activities such as litter picks and keeping themselves out of trouble.
